How Basix Programs Work
Basix programs are simple—simple for consumers, providers, and clients.

Consumers
Consumers access information about their specific Basix program and providers from a web site. In some cases, this information may also be provided in print. Generally, the consumer presents their health plan card to the provider at the time of service—eliminating the need for a separate Basix program card. The consumer then pays the discounted rate directly to the provider at the time of service.

Providers
Providers benefit from direct payment at the time of service, eliminating the overhead cost of billing and insurance paperwork. Moreover, providers are able to fill their schedules and build their clientele.

Clients
We create value by negotiating preferred prices with providers of non-covered goods and services. At the same time, we avoid the expense of claims payment and underwriting risk, resulting in exceptional value for both members and health plans. Additionally, we provide turnkey solutions, or work with your staff to provide just the portion of our service that you need. For example, some of our clients prefer to add the program to their existing website and just contract with Basix for network development and operation.
